Pomona King of the Mountain festival is alive with kids and fun. It is a festival that grew out of a race to the top of Cooroy Mountain and back to the finish line on the Pomona town square. Prerace activities are kids races and tug o'war. Paula who is my host's daughter and here friends participated. In the tug o'war, Paula was in the middle of the rope. Being much shorter than her team, when they pulled..it lifted her off the ground..:) Her team won. Her relay team came in 7th out of 95 teams. What would a festival of this magnitude be without a hungry shark? Noosa the past several years has hosted the Noosa Annual ITU World Triathalon Championship. Contestants, swim, ride bikes and run. The winners cross the running finish line first. The springtime weather of Noosa really complements this event.
