The Pomona King of the Mountain Festival draws folks from all over Australia to root for their favorite athlete to run up Cooroy Mountain and return first. Festivities include a carnival atmosphere. See the 'Boat Car' and the lady in the princess dress? Australia has a love affair with nostalgia and love things that should have died in the 60s and 70s. Col Noble, a friend I met makes a good living singing 'Jimmy Buffet' style in the clubs n'pubs. Noel, my host in Noosa, was involved in a construction equipment dealership. They had an open house with a barbque and a BobCat front bucket full of beer. Of course Liz and Allan and I just had to attend to document the occasion..:) The dueling BobCats were a sight in precision driving. I love the beach..and the sea. When I am not looking for lost things with the metal detector I am looking at the topless and sometimes bottomless blondes on the beach. Sometimes...I do both..:) When returning to Noosa from Gold Coast on Alice's birthday, a rock took out the windshield (windscreen) of my 74 Mazda. Friday and Saturday nights are fun nights in Noosa, with live entertainment at the Tewantin-Noosa RSL and the Noosa Bowls Club. If you like rock-n-roll you will be in seventh heaven. You can never tell who will be sitting on your lap..:) Allan and Noel and I went fishing. There is a slight height difference between Noel, a bloody kiwi and Allan a dyed in the wool Aussie. The grog the day before at the BobCat Field Day got to Noel and I caught him sleeping. Naturally man was burdened with lack of hair color as they mature with experience. Noel had his replenished..:) Paula celebrated her 12th birthday...it's amazing how puberty changes the personality..:)
