The Currumbin Bird Sanctuary is just a short city bus ride from any Gold Coast hotel or caravan park. Tickets are available on the bus for the venue which include unlimited bus transportation that same day. Public feeding of the crocodiles and lorikeets occur daily. A free train takes you to different parts of the park. This collection of tropical birds is in my opinion, one of the two best in Australia. The other is in Cairns/Kuranda.
