You can see the Perth skyline from Rottnest even though Perth downtown is inland.

Fremantle is also visible in the distance.

Most of the employees on the island also use the ferry to commute to work everyday.

The west coast of Australia is on the Indian Ocean. The blue and the green hues of the water were stunning.

Australia seems to have balanced the need to preserve the ecology with the public's right to view the natural resources. In all areas where human presence would harm the flora or fauna, walkways or viewing areas span those areas.

Well, it was great making new friends and meeting old acquaintences at the Conference, but it was time to return to Gold Coast....
