The trip from Walgett to Bingara backtracked over some of the road we used getting from Moree to Collarenebri. Bingara will be farther east of Moree and then slightly south.

The only reliable water source for stock and wild life is bore water ditches dug for miles across the plain by the graziers(ranchers) and farmers.

Pecans are also grown east of Moree. This is stand of cultivated pecan trees, planted straight as an arrow for as far as the eye can see. If you were lost in the middle...any direction you would turn would be an endless row of trees.

The Australian Raven is similar to the American Crow except in most cases it grows larger. The call is almost like a duck's quack.

Bingara, while not being an ancient town in Australia, has had a colorful history. Gold was found there, and diamonds also. The Bushranger, an Australian 'Robin Hood', regularly had his horse shod there.

Bingara has had its' dark side also, being the first place white men were judged for massacre of Aborigine women and children.

The Caravan park is along the Gwydir River, The park water is drawn from the river and at times is muddy.
