The Melbourne Experience 2 |

The skies were so
heavy this Spring day, Melbourne from the Yarra River bridge, closely
resembled Gotham City. This is as close to Antartica as I could get.

The Yarra River front, is bustling with activity and and pop sculpture.
HomeBoy, Celia and Allan stand in front of an unusual sculpture of a truck.

While taking refuge from a shower, I saw this view looking across the
Yarra. The yellow building is the Flinders Street Station train terminal
and the spires to the right are the St. Paul's Cathedral (Anglican). Street
musicians frequent this area also.

The new Crown Casino is on the banks of the Yarra. It is the most proper way to lose money, in Melbourne. Missing inside, are the Las Vegas style bright flashing lights, sirens sounding, and coins clanking in the slots...it was all very staid and proper. Exclusive shops in the promenade, cater to the "well heeled" class of high roller. (Grin) The casino has a first class dancing waters show choreographed to music and laser lights. |
